Back in Normandy

England visible from France!
Staying in our favourite campsite in Normandy (N.B. Danny, Neufchatel en Bray) and managing to connect via a hotspot for the first time. Good weather, peaceful, and recuperating nicely from the journey. Surrounded by English and Dutch campervanners all of a certain age. Wonderful bike track handy, which we'll try out later. Goes all the way to the coast, but don't think we'll manage that!
Journey not uneventful - surprise, surprise. Warned off A1 (Closure near Nottingham), so took M1. Lo and behold, an incident led to us sitting for 2 hours in a queue. Couldn't possibly catch our ferry, so a relaxed onward journey, and were put on the next- 10p.m. sailing. Finally got our heads down at 1a.m. on the docks at Dunkirk.
Pleased to 'post early', as it were. I expect you've guessed who Vanessa is? (VAN essa?)
On our way tomorrow. Hoping to visit a linen museum, Shirley. (Nice to see your face when I signed on).
One or two photos taken so far:

  1. Thanks for letting me know about this. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to do one of these!

It looks as though things are going(went) as usual on the roads in the UK. Let's hope it's easier on the other side of the channel. Enjoy your trip - we'll be watching.
