Weekend by the sea

Our first glimpse of the Med on Friday, as we drove towards Perpignan, heading for Le Barcares.
This is actually a lagoon on our right, and the sea is to our left.

Once we had settled in at the campsite, we went down to the beach a stone's throw from our 'van. Had to have a paddle, and it felt lovely. It always amazes me that this end of the French Mediterranean coast is still relatively unexploited.
These flowers and others were growing in an area of scrubland behind the beach. Don't know what they are, but perhaps someone can tell me.
We've had a couple of bike rides here. Again, just next to the campsite, and next to the river mouth, there is a cycle track, which is about 40k. long. Here I am with the open sea behind me.
Looking inland, you can just make out Mont Canigou. The campsite is on the other side of the cycle track. A huge one this one, but well camouflaged by the vegetation.
Here I am back at the 'van using the laptop. Don't know when the next opportunity will be. We are moving on tomorrow and heading for the mountains, so we might find a few free aires.
Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep watching!
