Definitely a hotspot today

28 degrees in the shade, so not much activity today, apart from catching up with the washing. Feeling very relaxed now that we've been in one place for a while. Lovely spot - on an island in the Dordogne river.

Across the little bridge from the campsite is an amazing medieval town, Beaulieu sur Dordogne, aptly named
('Beautiful place'). The lush vegetation on the island is typical of this area. Keith, if you're following, I can't understand why those far-off ancestors of ours ever left!  M. rashly said we could stay as long as we liked. When I said 5 weeks he wasn't impressed!

Anyway, making the most of this hotspot. We don't normally use campsites much - they cost money! So there could be a few gaps, but we feel as though we are off to a flying start. When we can use the lap top we can also use email, so any news from any of you would be interesting. It would also be good to know who's following the blog.
