Pyrenees

Back on line again, and we've been back on the road again. This is our first real sight of the Pyrenees. First of all, hello to Vinicio in Mexico. Great to hear from you and thank you for your comment. We still have happy memories of your visit to York- how many years ago?
First stop on Monday had to be revisiting Mont Louis citadelle. It proved to be a bit too exciting for my liking! By mistake, we found ourselves driving through this archway!!! (About an inch to spare either side) The official car park outside the walls would have been far too easy for Maurice. As our 'scrapes' go though - not too bad as the streets inside were wide enough for us to get out again.
Bought our bread and had a coffee by way of relaxation after the trauma.

Then it was time to fill up with water.Lovely aire just outside the walls, but it was only lunchtime so we pressed on.

We ended up, after a stunning drive, at an aire high up (1800 m) in the mountains. Plenty of room!
During the winter Les Angles is a ski resort. This is the nearest I will ever get to ski-ing

This is more my style.
The end of a (nearly) perfect day.
